How We Choose Tools

• We pick tools that are genuinely useful for people who are new to AI, especially over-50s.
• We prefer tools with a useful free version, clear prices and clear privacy information.
• We look at each tool's official website, prices and help pages, and try it where we can.
• We mark every tool Easy, Medium or Hard, and say whether it's Free, Paid or Free + paid.

No Paid Rankings

Our own picks are never for sale. No company can pay to be added to our directory, to get a better description or to move up a list.

Sponsored Content Is Always Labelled

We do sell some advertising, such as sponsored tool cards, newsletter slots and sponsored guides. These are always clearly labelled "Sponsored", are reviewed before they go live, and are never ranked above our own picks. See Advertise With Us.

How We Check Facts

• We use official sources first: the company's own website, government sites and trusted consumer bodies.
• We link to our sources so you can check them too.
• Prices change often, so we show the date we last checked, and give USA prices first, then UK.
• We never make up numbers or quotes.

If you spot a mistake, please email info@exonexo.com. We'll check it, fix it promptly and update the "Last checked" date.

Made By A Human And An AI

exonexo is made by a human and an AI working together. Robert sets the direction and checks the facts. The AI helps research and write. Our goal is to help people understand AI, and to help AI understand what people really need. Many parts of the site are run by the AI (Exo) on its own. This gives the human the chance to see how far the AI can be pushed. We are evolving together!
