How exonexo handles your information, in simple terms.
Who We Are
exonexo (exonexo.com) is run by Robert Woolford. If you have any questions about your information, email info@exonexo.com.
What We Collect, And Why
Your email address, if you sign up for our newsletter. We use it only to send you our weekly email. It is stored with our newsletter service, Resend, a US/EU email provider. You can read Resend's privacy policy.
A scrambled version of your internet (IP) address when you use the sign-up form. We use it only to stop people from sending lots of sign-ups at once. We store it in a scrambled (hashed) form, and we only look at the last 24 hours of sign-up attempts.
Standard server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting company automatically records basic technical details of each visit (such as IP address, the page asked for, the time and your browser type) to keep the site running and secure.
Visitor counts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits anonymously. It doesn't use cookies or identify you, and we never sell any data.
Your display choices, on your own device. If you pick a text size or turn on high contrast, your browser remembers that choice (using "local storage"). It stays on your device and isn't sent to us.
We don't use tracking cookies or advertising trackers, and we don't sell or share your information with advertisers.
Sponsor payments. If a business buys a sponsorship, the payment is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects the card details, email, company name and website entered at checkout; we never see full card numbers. See Stripe's privacy policy.
How Long We Keep It
Newsletter email: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Sign-up rate-limit data: only the last 24 hours is used.
Server logs: kept by our host for a limited time under its own policy.
Display choices: until you clear your browser's data.
Unsubscribing And Deleting Your Data
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@exonexo.com and ask us to unsubscribe you or delete your email address completely. We'll do it promptly.
Your Rights
In the UK (under UK GDPR) you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Our lawful basis for the newsletter is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. If you're unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
In the USA you can ask us what information we hold about you and ask us to delete it. We don't sell or share personal information. Some states, such as California, give you extra rights, and we'll honour those requests too.
Children
exonexo is not aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
Cookie Policy
The short version: exonexo does not use cookies to track you, and there are no advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website can save in your web browser. Some are needed to make a site work. Others are used to follow you around the internet or count visitors. We only use what the site needs to work.
What We Use
No tracking cookies. We don't use advertising cookies, cookie-based analytics, social media trackers or embedded videos. We count visits anonymously without cookies, using Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Your display choices. If you pick a larger text size or turn on high contrast, your browser remembers that choice on your own device using something called "local storage". It isn't a cookie, it isn't sent to us, and it isn't shared with anyone. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Our private admin area. The pages our team uses to manage the site set one essential cookie when a team member logs in. Readers never see these pages, so this cookie is never set for you.
Other Companies
Stripe (sponsor payments). If a business buys a sponsorship, the payment happens on Stripe's own secure checkout page, not on exonexo. Stripe may use cookies there, for example to prevent fraud. See Stripe's cookie policy.
Links to other websites. Our guides link to official and trusted websites. Once you leave exonexo, that site's own cookie rules apply.
Our newsletter. Our newsletter emails are sent by our email service, Resend. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your email address.
How To Control Cookies
Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies. These official help pages show you how:
Blocking cookies won't stop exonexo working for you, because we don't rely on them.
Your Rights
USA
Several US states, such as California, give you rights over how websites collect and use your personal information, including the right to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising. We don't sell your information or use it for targeted advertising.
UK
Under UK law (PECR and UK GDPR), websites must ask before setting cookies that aren't strictly needed. Because we don't use any non-essential cookies, we don't need to show a cookie banner. The Information Commissioner's Office explains more at ico.org.uk.
These terms explain the rules for using exonexo. By using the site, you agree to them. We've kept them short and in simple terms.
Who We Are
exonexo (exonexo.com) is run by Robert Woolford in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at info@exonexo.com.
Using The Site
exonexo is free to read. Please use it lawfully, and don't try to break, overload or copy the site in bulk.
Information Only, Not Advice
Our guides, tool pages and news are general information to help you understand AI. They are not legal, financial, medical or professional advice. Always check important decisions with a qualified person, such as your doctor, pharmacist, bank or a lawyer.
Made By A Human And An AI
exonexo is made by a human and an AI working together: Robert and Exo, the AI. We check our facts and links, but mistakes can still happen and things change quickly in AI. If you spot an error, please email us and we'll fix it. See our Editorial Policy.
Other Websites And Tools
We link to other websites and describe AI tools made by other companies. A link or a tool page is not an endorsement, and we aren't responsible for other websites, their content, their prices or how they use your information.
Sponsored Listings
Some listings are paid for. They are always clearly labelled "Sponsored". Our own picks and rankings are never for sale.
Sponsor Terms
Prices are in US dollars: Tool Card $49 per month, Newsletter Slot $79 per issue, Sponsored Guide $199.
Payment is taken securely by Stripe, our payment processor.
We review every ad before it goes live. We may refuse or remove any ad, for example if it is misleading, unsafe or not right for our readers.
Refunds are at our discretion. If we refuse your ad before it goes live, we'll refund you.
Sponsored content is always labelled. Sponsors are responsible for making sure their ads and websites are accurate and lawful.
Our newsletter is free. You only get it if you sign up and confirm your email address. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us to be removed. See our Privacy Policy.
Our Content
The words, design and logo on exonexo belong to us. You're welcome to share links to our pages. Our free PDFs, such as the AI Starter Guide and the Printable Scam Cheat Sheet, are free for personal use: print them, keep them and give copies to family and friends. Please don't sell them or publish them as your own.
Limits On Our Responsibility
We do our best to keep exonexo accurate and working, but we provide it "as is", without guarantees. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for any loss that comes from using the site, relying on its content, or using other websites and tools we link to. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that can't be excluded.
Changes To These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date at the top when we do. If you keep using the site, the new terms apply.
Which Law Applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, because exonexo is run from the UK.
USA
If you live in the USA, you keep any rights your state's consumer laws give you that can't be signed away.
UK
If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
