What Is It, In Plain Words?
Medisafe is a phone app that reminds you when to take your medicines. If you choose, it can alert a family member or friend when you miss a dose.
You add each medicine, the dose and the times, and it sends a notification when it's time.
What You Can Use It For
- Daily tablets. A reminder at 8am and 8pm, with a picture of the right pill.
- Peace of mind for family. Add a "Medfriend" who gets a message if you miss a dose.
- Refills. It can remind you when you're running low.
Getting Started Step By Step
On A Phone Or Tablet
- Open the App Store (iPhone and iPad) or Google Play (Android).
- Search for Medisafe and check it's made by Medisafe. Copycat apps exist.
- Tap Get or Install, then open it.
Setting It Up
- Open the app and create a free account with your email.
- Tap Add a med and type the medicine's name. Choose it from the list.
- Enter the dose and the times you take it, then save.
- When a reminder pops up, tap Take once you've taken it, or Skip.

Privacy And Safety
- What it keeps. Medisafe stores your medicine list in your account. Read its privacy policy before adding anything you'd rather keep private.
- Only add Medfriends you trust, because they can see when you miss doses.
- Never type passwords, PINs, bank or card numbers, your National Insurance number (UK) or Social Security number (USA).
